Julie Sermon

Julie Sermon is a professor of History and Aesthetics of Contemporary Theatre (Université Lyon 2) and co-director of the Laboratoire Passages XX-XXI (EA 4160). Her works focus on the phenomena of renewal, mutation, and de-centring — symbolic, practical, and theoretical — with which contemporary performing arts and their creative processes can be involved.

Since 2017, she has been devoting her research to the relationships and dialogues that the performing arts create with ecology.
